Mapping Out Your Upcoming Posts With An Eye Toward Strategy

Mapping Out Your Upcoming Posts With An Eye Toward Strategy

Most people are in the habit of sitting down and creating one post at a time. Now that you have some experience posting, I encourage you to sit down weekly and map out your upcoming posts.

Go to your Scheduler. For the next month, try to plan out your posts here. As a starting place, try to do one post for each of your three main messages.  We recommend for a few weeks that you try to go with this system of posting:  product on Monday, sharing about your brand’s bigger picture on Wednesday, and posting more personal insights on Friday.

This simple discipline will:

  • Keep your from posting too often about your product
  • Will get you in the habit of posting about your message 2 and 3.

You can always move these messages around to different days if you like or need to. However, from a psychological standpoint, we think Monday is a great day to promote and Friday is a great day to talk about something more personal.

Sitting down to post only once a week will help you be more efficient with your time. It will also help you track your message use better. Finally, you will start to get some “flow” between posts in your feed. This will make your feed more compelling to your audience.

Once you feel comfortable with a week at a time, go to our Tutorial “Creating a Month of Posts in an Afternoon” to really get cooking!

Let us know how it’s going in The Small Biz Builders, our private Facebook group.
